7th Up Biz Tour
The Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Augusta School Department and Gardiner School Department, launched this program in 2019 to connect local students with the opportunities that exist right here in the Kennebec Valley.
Each year, more than one hundred seventh graders are transported from their schools for a full-day tour of Chamber member businesses, where they gain firsthand exposure to a wide range of local careers and industries.
Increase Career Awareness
Introduce students early-on to the variety of different careers, industries, and workplaces available in Kennebec Valley
Build Local Connections
Help students see the opportunities that exist within their own community and envision a future close to home
Grow Future Workforce
Support long-term workforce development and economic growth by inspiring the next generation.
