Inspiring Minds is NAMI Maine's skills-based recovery education course for people seeking to enhance their mental health and live happier, more empowered lives. We meet once a week for 8 weeks and cover a variety of topics through interactive sessions that include listening, videos, exercises, role plays, and group discussion. We do not talk about mental illness, symptoms, or treatment. Rather, we focus on personal and interpersonal skills anyone can benefit from learning. It is not necessary to register for all 8 classes, since each one is designed to stand on its own. However, your experience will probably be enriched if you do come to most or all of them.
The classes will take place at our peer center: Waterville Peer Recovery Center, 32 Ticonic Street.
