Thomas College is seeking a full-time temporary, and an anticipated part-time temporary, clerical assistant to coordinate COVID-19 testing for the Spring 2021 semester. Coordination of testing will include: being trained for self-administered test observation, processing approximately 600 tests per week, collecting all test tubes, validating that all consent forms are on file, creating and placing unique bar codes onto test tubes, packaging tubes according to standards provided by the testing company, preparing packages for shipping, coordinating with the courier service for transport and maintaining supplies. The position will also be responsible for assisting/developing the testing schedule for faculty, staff and students and following up with those that are not in compliance. This position will report to the VP for Student Affairs and will work closely with the Director of Health Services.
The ideal candidate(s) will be extremely organized and self-motivated with the ability to work independently. He/She will also have excellent communication and customer service skills. Maintaining confidentiality and being proficient with Microsoft Office Suite are imperative. He/She must also be comfortable being around multiple individuals on a daily basis. An Associate’s degree and prior experience in a healthcare field are helpful.
