About the Speaker

Mary brings more than 30 years of experience in higher education, helping students and families navigate postsecondary education and build lifelong financial skills. She serves as Education Affordability and Financial Wellness Manager at Finance Authority of Maine (FAME), where she has spent the past 19 years advancing college access, financial education, and student loan debt management for Maine residents.

She is also President of the Maine Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy, a volunteer-led nonprofit focused on improving financial capability for Maine youth and young adults. Under her leadership, the Coalition was recognized as State Coalition of the Year by the National Jump$tart Coalition in 2014 and 2024.
